He resided in 1915 in Ushers, Saratoga, NY.⁽²⁴⁰⁸⁾ He resided before 1932 in Round Lake, Saratoga, NY.⁽²⁴³⁵⁾⁽²⁴³⁷⁾ The house was located on the "south side of Plotcher Avenue at Round Lake. He died on 18 Aug 1932 in Albany, Albany, NY.⁽⁷⁵⁰⁾⁽²⁴³⁸⁾ Died at "Albany Hospita."after 10 days. An autopsy revealed mesenteric thrombosis (blood clot), carcinoma of head (brain tumor??). He married to Carrie FRISBEE on 14 Feb 1886.⁽²⁴³⁹⁾⁽²⁴⁴⁰⁾ My great grandfather Frank Segal FRISBIE grew up on the DIBBLE farm with his sister and four brothers in Windsor, NY (near Binghamton) in the early days of the Civil War (18).

Carrie was a housewife. At the time of her death, Carrie was living in Round Lake, Saratoga County, NY. She began to suffer from cardiovascular disease. She died two years later. At that time, she was living with her daughter Ethel, my grandmother, in Niskayuna. A doctor had seen her a week prior to her death. It would appear that Carrie got very sick and Ethel took care of her for weeks/years before she died (who said this - dad?). Children were: Ethel Minnie DIBBLE, Agnes Ella DIBBLE, Florence Alice DIBBLE, Harry Hurlburt DIBBLE, Helen DIBBLE, Donald Frank DIBBLE, Luella Isabella DIBBLE, Marjorie Inez DIBBLE.

Lamb says "The History of Delaware County, New York, 1880 by Munsell, p. 236 says Henry was the first settler of Kortright." But Lamb is mistaken. What Munsell says in his Chapter on Kortright is, "John McWilliams ... took up the lot north of Brownell farm. Henry Dibble Sr was the first permanent settler in this part of town." He goes on to say that son Patrick Dibble was the first settler in that part of Kortright later where H.L. Keator would later live. In fact, on page 233, Munsell states quite clearly, "James Calder, a noted tory during the revolution, was undoubtedly the first settler in the town of Kortright." Lamb must have missed that part. He was buried in McArthur Hill Road Cemetery, Kortright, Delaware, NY.⁽¹⁴⁴⁴⁾ I have seen another source state he is buried at Rebel Hill Cemetery in Kortright. He served as a Solidier in American Revolution (1775-1783).⁽²⁴⁵³⁾ DAR 215 294? Col. VanNess rgt? He moved to Kortright, Delaware, NY. Parents: Joseph DIBBLE and Elizabeth PARSONS.

Henry is my only Long Island ancestor thus far.

Lamb notes that "Abigail [BULMORE] is called WHETMORE in the marriage record and BUTMAN in other records" (202).

Lamb's work state that this family moved around a lot, but Lamb is difficult to follow. The following is my interpretation of Lamb regarding their travels: The family left Long Island and moved to Weston, Fairfield, CT in 1748. They were living in North Guilford, New Haven, CT in 1749 and 1752. By 1790, the family had moved to Hillsdale, Columbia, NY. By 1804, the family moves to Kortright, Delaware, NY. Henry was the first settler of Kortright, Delaware, NY (202).
