The arms have three swans, sable, a fesse ermine (a black shield) an ermine fesse of cross-piece and three silver swan (two above and two under the fesse). According to Hewett, "Evidently the family of MOLFORD was in favor with the King in 1420 and perhaps for some special service rendered. The ducal coronet in gold over the shield would seem to indicate the high station."
