He was a Farmer in 1862 in Gloucester, Essex, MA.⁽¹⁰⁹⁴⁾ He was a Butcher in 1862.⁽¹⁰⁹⁶⁾ He served as a 17th MA Infantry, Company G between 1862 and 1863 in Civil War (Union).⁽¹⁰⁹⁷⁾⁽¹⁰⁹⁶⁾ Served 4 Aug 1862 to 10 Jul 1863. Enlisted to serve 3 years but honorably discharged early at New Berne, NC due to disability. In Dec 1862, he contracted chronic hepatitis. In April 1863, he contracted an inflamed, enlarged liver, which would continue to suffer him until he died. He was treated at Foster General Hospital in New Berne.

According to Albion's pension papers, he "contracted [a] disease while in the service and line of duty which resulted in his death." He was described as 5' 10" tall with light complexion, brown hair and blue eyes in Apr 1863 in Suffolk Co, MA.⁽¹⁰⁹⁶⁾ He died on 1 Jun 1889 in Gloucester, Essex, MA.⁽¹⁰⁹⁸⁾⁽¹⁰⁹⁹⁾⁽¹⁰⁹⁶⁾ He suffered an inflamed liver the rest of his life until, in 1863, he developed the tuberculosis which would take his life.
