She had many friends and lived and worked as a dressmaker in St. Joseph, MO for a while. She traveled back and forth from Missouri to Montana with her mother Sarah and took many pictures during this time of herself, family and friends. She sewed elaborate dresses and loved to have pictures taken of them. She left a photo album and post card collection that is a wonderful keepsake and story of the family.

Sometime after 1920, in Arizona, she was kicked in the head by a horse and the pain caused her to lose her mind. Grandma Gentry said that when she lost her mind, the pain was gone. They cared for her at home for a while, but eventually put her in a home. Bill and Ola would go to see her. She actually became well in her later years, but because she had no where else to go, she stayed at the home. I have no idea who paid the cost or where the home was, except that it was near Phoenix, AZ.
