Edna Mae Glidewell
Edna Mae Glidewell, 78, a resident of Wichita Falls since
1966, died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, in Wichita Falls.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000,
at
Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Willie
Johnson, of Wesley United Methodist Church, and the Rev.
Chris Allen officiating. Burial will be in Crestview
Memorial
Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Glidewell was born Nov. 12, 1921, in Millersburg,
Ohio. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church
and The United Methodist Women. She married Joy Leon
Glidewell on Nov. 20, 1957, in Norfolk, Va. He preceded
her
in death on Aug. 20, 1997. She was also preceded in death
by an infant son, Russell, in 1960. She was a life member
of
PTA and a life member of the DAV, and donated 490 hours
of volunteer work for the Wichita Falls State Hospital.
She
was a 5 gallon plus blood donor at the American Red Cross.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Lawanda Sauls of
Amarillo, Eldene Farmer of Winston-Salem, N.C., and
Annette Odom of Wichita Falls; two sons, Jack of Fritch,
Texas, and Al of Denton; two sisters, Clara Horrisberger
of
Arvada, Colo., and Nettie Weaver of Seymour, Miss.; a
brother, Alvin Beilar of Victoria Station, Va.; 13
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the
funeral
home. The family requests memorials be made to Wesley
