Rutleage, and William Patterson. It being pat of a Granville Grant and
part of a state grant to William Patterson (11:388). William Baily
conveyed it to this Grantor. Wit: John B. Clark, John Prather. Proved
by Prather at Feb Ct 1805. (This piece of land was part of an original
Granville Grant which whoever had it then sold it to William Patterson
- when he died it went to his daughter Jane who m. To Baily who then
sold it to Joseph Roberson - the deed for this somehow remaining in
the Ratledge family and causing the confusion over the land of the Rat
ledge family being a Granville Grant) Parents: Samuel Robison.
