from the Univ. of Missouri at Columbus and afterwards established a
law practice in Appleton , MO. The Family came to Chancler, OK in
1901 and he established a real eatate and loan business here in which
he was activeuntil 1949. During his lifetime, he was active in church
and civic affairs. He was one of the free-holders who drew up the
charter under which the City of Chandler now operates, serving as
Chairman of the Board. He wa a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge
and took part in the functions of that organization as long as it was
