driver and in latter years he owned a construction company. He
attended Church faithfully and made sure that his children did also.
He was a preacher for the Church of Christ. On any given day you
could find Joe sitting in his recliner, by the window, reading his
Bible.
Ronald Booe was his youngest son and was planning on marring his
present wife on June 21, 1986, Joe had Cancer and was not expected to
live very long, but he asked that Ronald continue with the wedding and
for him and his wife to have the first girl grandchild in the family.
Joe died June 14, 1986, seven days before the wedding on June 21, 1986
and the first and only girl grandchild was born to the family on

came to be known as Burnt Tavern for obvious reasons. There is also
evidence that states John Calhoun Booe, son of John & Elizabeth
Chestire Booe, was born in this Tavern.
