LANCASTER CO. PA.. Last Will and Testament of WILLIAM BRANDON of Lancaster
Co. Pennsylvania-1753

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN, I, William Brandon of Hannover in the County of Lancaster,and
the Province of Pencellvenia being very sick and Weake of Body but in perfect
mind and Memory thanks be given to God for it therefore calling to mind the Mortality
of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to dye do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament. That is to say Principally and first
of all I give and bequeth and recommend my Soull into the hands of God who gave
it and as for my Body I recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian
like and Desent maner at the discresion of my
Exacitours and tutching such Worldly things wherewith it hath pleased God to
bless me with in this Life. I give, and bequeth and dispose of them in the folowing
maner and form.
I give and bequeth to my dearly beloved wife Isabela the half of this place that
she now lives
upon During her Widowhood with three cows and the Litle Greay Mear and hir beed
and Clows and hir Wheall and a pot.
I do leave to my soon Jeames the Please they formaly Lived upon joyning William's
Brown's Place alowing him to begin at the Corner Tree joyning William Brown and
coming a stright Curse to the Dirty Goot at the litle Oats Patch and straight
along to the beaver Creek and I alow him the Black Meare and the Roned Coult
and a plow and all the neseasary Tackeling for Plowing and a falling Acx and
a grubing hoe and Wann Milch Cou and a brown hefer and a pot. I doe order to
my Daughter Catring twenty three pounds to be paid her out of my Estate and one
Cou and one hefer that she calls her own and I alow to my daughter, Ann
one Cou and a two year old hefer and if the big meare Brings a Colt this year
she is to have
it and I alow my soon William the other half of this Please and the whole of
it to his Mothers Diceas only hee must Give my Daughter Ann twenty pounds at
that time. I also leave
William the bea Coult and wan cow and a yearling hefer and I do deput Walter
Gregory and my son Jeames to be my hole and sole Exacarours Regeting all former
Wills and Declearing this to be my last Will and Testament sealled with my seall
and Deated this twenty third of
Jennary in the Year of our Lord God wan Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty three.

and John Barnet, the Witness to the Execution of the within written will and
on their Corporal Oaths did declare and say that they were present and saw and
heard William Brandon, the Testor within named Sign, Seal, Publish and Declare
the within writing as and for his Last Will and Testament. and at the doing
therefore he was Sound and disposing Mind Memory and understanding to the best
of their knowledgr and Belief.

BE IT REMEMBERED that on the third Day of May 1753 the last Will and Testament
of
William Brandon Deceased, was proved in due form of Law and Probate and letters
Testamentary were granted unto Walter Gregory and James Brandon the Executors.
named in the said Will they being first duly qualified well and truly to administer
the Said
Decedents Estate and bring an Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at
Lancaster on or before the third Day of June next, And also to render an account
thereunto when
Lawfully required.
