Elliott, died Mar 17, 1893, at age 40 yr - 1 mo - 16 da. It is unknown who this may be as she is too young to be the wife of Silas Elliott. Co, Pa. !There is confusion as to which children were born to which one of
his
wives. The IGI has birth year as 1686, not 1685 as other sources. He removed to Freehold, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He owned 500 acres of land in Monmouth County. He removed to Coventry, Chester County, Pennsylvania where he engaged in the iron industry. He went thence to Amity, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. His will there was dated 22 Feb 1735/1736. Moses J Lincoln was born to Hananiah Lincoln and Sara Jane Jefferies Lincoln in Nelson Co, KY on Dec 22, 1787. Moses married Elizabeth Crawford in Preble, Ohio on Sept. 19, 1816. On March 17, 1825 Moses purchased some federal land in Preble Co, Ohio from the Cincinnati Land Office for somewhere between $1.25 and $4.00 and acre. The land was sold under the US Land Act of 10 May 1800. Some time between 1825 and 1830, Moses moved with his family to Warren Co, Indiana. Moses next shows up in Warren Co Indiana in the 1830 US census and he shows up again still in Warren Co in the 1840 Census. At the time of the 1850 US Census when they started listing all the names of people in each dwelling, the following children are listed: William W, David S, Mary A, Lucinda C, and Elizabeth R. Moses and Elizabeth had other children but they had left home by this time. At the time of the 1850 census Lucy was 17 years old and during the 1860 census she is no longer living with Moses and Elizabeth. In the 1860 census she is married to John Robb. !Children are listed in order of birth. On 11/22/1826 purchased 80 acres of land in Montgomery County, Indiana. By 1830 he has moved to Warren County, Indiana. In about 1817 he moved from Kentucky to Preble County, Ohio. On March 17, 1825 he purchased a tract of land in western Preble County, Ohio. On page 155 of Adjutant General's report it advises that he had the rank of 4th sergeant. He was mustered in in Newport, Kentucky on 8/30/1813 and enlisted until 11/13/1813. He was in the Roll of Captain Samuel Wilson's Company, Kentucky Mounted Volunteer Militia, commanded by Colonel Michael Taul. When he was born Washington County was part of Nelson County. Day of marriage may have been Sept 19 not 18th. They were married by Ruben Dooley, MG. He was a school teacher in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
