*Elizabeth "Bessie" O'Neil. She was married to
*John Clayton Brundige on 20 Nov 1883 in Sugar Grove, Illinois. John C.
Brundige was born on the family farm at LaFox, Illinois. Being the youngest
of 11 children, he remained on the farm and took over the operation of it after
his older brothers had married and bought their own farms. After his marriage,
the home was divided into two parts, so that his elderly parents were in one
part, and John and his family were in the other.
Christine Linington was born in Canada and came to Aurora, Illinois with her
parents at the age of 5. After graduating from the Aurora High School, she taught
in a country school near Bliss Road (Sugar Grove, Illinois), while boarding at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Cole. It was there that she met Mrs. Cole's brother
John Brundige.
In March 1907, after Levi and Charlotte Brundige had died, John and Christine
sold the family farm at LaFox and bought a home at #18 Richards Street in Geneva.
They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary there. He took a job repairing
and installing signals for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. Christine's
died of a stroke in 1938, after which John sold the house in Geneva, in 1941.
From then on, he lived with his daughter Bessie Divine and her family in the
summers, and with his children in California, Charles, Lottie, and Clyde, in
the winters.
Mr. and Mrs. Brundige were first buried in a mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery
in Montgomery, Illinois, but were later re-interred at the same cemetery when
the mausoleum was to be demolished. Children were:

Obituary:
"Mrs. Elizabeth Lennington, wife of George Lennington Sr., died at her late
home, 255 1/2 Woodlawn avenue, at 12:30 o'clock last night. Mrs Lennington has
been in failing health for the past ten years, having suffered several strokes
of paralysis. She was 81 years of age. While able to attend the Christmas gathering
at the home of her son George Lennington in Downer place this year, her strength
gradually failed until the end.
She was a quiet, unpretentious woman who during her life had made a warm circle
of friends. The Lennington family came to Aurora from Canada, having lived here
for more than 48 years. Mr. and Mrs. Lennington were a more than ordinarily
devoted couple, constant attention given by the husband to his frail wife having
been remarked by all who knew them well. Mrs. Lennington was a member of the
Galena Boulevard Methodist Church.
Deceased is survived by her husband and four children, E.C. Lennington of Chicago,
George Lennington of Aurora, and two daughters, Christine Lennington Brundage
of Geneva, and Alice Lennington Shaw of St. Charles. She had but one member of
her own family in this country - a niece living in Chicago.
The funeral will be held from the late home Thursday at 2 o'clock and will be
private. Firends who wish to call at the home are invited to do so Thursday
morning until the hour of 11 o'clock."

of the Original Town of Fishkill, Dutchess Co, NY (Rombout Pct)", by William
Willis Reese, Collections of Dutchess County Historical Society, Vol VI, 1938:
"After the War of the Revolution the precincts were done away with in Dutchess
and towns were laid out. Under that arrangement Rombout Precinct became in 1788
the Town of Fishkill. Later still the Town of Fishkill was sub-divided. Set
off from Fishkill in 1821 was the west half of the Town of LaGrange; in 1849
the Town of East Fishkill; and in 1875 the Town of Wappinger. Thus the historical
material incorporated in these pages bears upon the present Towns of Fishkill,
East Fishkill and Wappinger and to half of the Town of La Grange."
