Alexander Bean⁽⁶²⁸⁾ was born about 1750 in near Aberdeen, Scotland (?). He died in 1812 in Edgefield District, South Carolina. Christina and Alexander sailed to America (according to book "Passengers To America", Edcited by M. Tepper, Geneal. Publish), leaving from port of Newcastle in northern England listing themselves as from Scotland, on the ship Georgia Pacet, departing between Sept. 4th and 11th, 1775.
Alexander listed as a shoemaker, and Christianna as his wife. He was 23 adn she was 18. He listed that he was "going to seek better employement".
The ship was one of the last immigrant ships to leave Great Britain before the American Revolution closed off traffic. Alexander served for at least some time as a private (see DAR Patriot Index, P. 47). Their first two children were born during the war. (According to "Glimpses of Newton County History" (in Texas State Geneal. Library), all children were born in South Carolina.)
In 1874 Alexander bought 500 acres of land in Edgefield Co., S.C., and spent the rest of his life near Meeting ST., about 10 miles north of Edgefield.

He was married to Christiana Matson in 1775 in Aberdeen-Shire, Scotland. Seem to have been married in Scotland, then left immediately for America. Possible that her maiden name was Matson, Massey or Cassey.
