William P. Youngblood 88, for 15 years an employee in the famous Homestake mine at Lead., S. Dak, died at the Weiser hospital Saturday where he had been a patient for about a week. Mr. Youngblood was born October 18, 1860, in Carroll county, Arkansas. He came to Weiser in April 1948 from Stone Co., Missouri. Most of his life was spent as a farmer, excepting his services in the Homestake mine. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include four sons and two daughters. Sons are Benny, Robert and Fred, Blueye, Mo. and John of Weiser; daughters are Mrs. George Bowman Mrs. Harve Riddles, both of Darrangton, Wn. Services, in charge of Northam-Jones, are pending and internment will be in Hillcrest. Parents: John M. Youngblood and Nancy Adeline Hulsey.
