Notes in some papers of Uncle Ed - Charles Henry Brown was a hardware merchant and undertaker (in the back room) of the Lovell Village store. Although almost completely blind (he did not know me athree feet away until I spoke) for over a year before his death, on the day of his death he called for his Bible and looking at it, actually read many verses out loud. He had a desk which belonged to Mary Baker Eddy, which is still in the family. Charles Henry Brown and Mary Ida Brown (brother and sister) married Adeline G. Fox and Eben N. Fox (sister and brother) in what I was told was a "double wedding" ceremony in Lovell, Me. Parents: Benjamin Truman Brown and Phebe Kimball Bean.
