11910, in Otis, the daughter of William and Lila Hugins Crittendon. She
graduated from Lee High School in 1928 and from Bay Path Institute in
Springfield.
Miss Crittendon was employed by Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children
in
Springfield and later by Dr. Henry H. Erbe of Otis.
She lived in Otis with her parents prior to their deaths and, more
recently,
with her brother, Richard Crittendon. Miss Crittendon was amember of the
bicentennial committee in 1976 and at that time contributed a number of
articles to the official history of the town. She also served as town
librarian
for several years and was clerk of the Otis Congregational Church, where
she
was a 60-year member. She also was honored as a 50-year member of the
Otis
Grange.
Besides her brother, she leaves two other brothers, William Crittendon of
Otis
and Theodore Crittendon of Lake Placid, NY and a sister, Mrs. Marion
Jewell of
