"Timothy who was captued in 1759, and taken to Quebec, remained there (recapturing his own French heritage and tradition), until after the American Revolution. I believe he did not know his father had been killed. During the American Revolution he became a spy for the Americans against the British. His immediate superior was then Col. Anthony Hazen, who employed many spies in Canada and the northern frontier of Colonial America in those days. Timothy supplied the Americans with vital information as well as supplies on their invasion of Quebec, and was paid well for his work after the war. At least 20 of his requests for payment all during the war, and up to 1787 from the Continental Congress are among unpublished records of the war in Washington, D.C. Timothy did come to Trenton, NJ to meet with members of Congress in 1787, but he never made contact with his brothers again that I know of, and he disappeared from sight after that.
