Lincoln(115) was born in 1756 in
Exeter, Berks Co, Pa. He died in 1800 in TN. Hananiah Lincoln Sr was born
in 1756 and was the oldest child of Thomas Lincoln Sr and Elizabeth Davis.
Hananiah married his first wife name unknown in 1778/9. His only child by
this marriage was Thomas Lincoln. Hananiah then married Sarah Jane Jefferies
on Feb 9,1787. The bride was the daughter of Moses and Sarah Jefferies. Hananiah
and Sarah had several children whose names were Moses Jefferies, Austin, Davis,
Ellender, and Lucy. Sarah died in 1800 and Hananiah married Lucy Wilson in
1801. There were no known children of this union. !The military service of
Hananiah Lincoln began in the year 1775 when he was made a sergeant in the company
of which George Nalis was Captain and which was attached to the regiment of
Col. William Thompson. On October 4, 1776, Hananiah was commissioned First
Lieutenant in Col. William Cooke's Twelfth Pennsylvania Regiment. An appointment
to a captaincy came to him on May 20, 1777, and he served in that capacity
until he resigned on October 20, 1777. Death date and place from letter by
John R. Elliott. Waldo Lincoln advised that he had also a daughter Rebecca who
married in November 1811, in Hardin County, Kentucky to William Kellem. They
were married by Thomas Whitman and it was recorded at Bardstown, Kentucky.
Waldo Lincoln presumes that they either moved away or had no children as the
name in unknown to any member of her sister Lucy's family.
