The primary research has been done from the family of Mack E and Barbara J Brown who were married in Roseburg, Oregon June 30, 1949, lived in Glide, Oregon for a time until moving to Salem in 1858 to attend Willamette University College of Law where Mack E graduated with a LLB in 1961. In 1963 the family moved to Eugene where Mack entered the real estate business with James A. Rodman, MAI.
During the business slow down following the high interest rates of the late 1970's the Oregon economy became sluggish and Mack moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work in Real Estate Appraising. By 1989 business in Phoenix had slowed down too, so Mack found appraisal work in the Puget Sound region where he worked for three years.
By 1992 Residential Appraising was so active that Mack moved to the Tri Cities (Kennewick - Richland - Pasco) area where he opened his own residential appraisal business bringing in his son, David C. Brown from Phoenix to train in the business. By 1995 David had become qualified and was able to take over the business when had slowed down.
Mack and Barbara moved to Salem for their retirement years where they bought a home and settled in for a slowed pace of activity.
