Emanuel Heath, born 1822 in Alabama, according to the census, married to Sarah Carroll, born 1821, in North Carolina. Emanuel and Sarah were married January 15, 1843 in Barbour County, Alabama. They had sons William and Lemuel. Sarah died prior to September 1850 in Barbour County, Alabama. Emanuel was living alone on September 24, 1850 when the US Census for Barbour County, Alabama was taken. William his five year old son, was living with Sarah's sister, Margaret Carroll and her husband Nathan Horn. Lemuel his three year old son was living with Sarah's sister "Kitsey" and her husband William Baxley. Emanuel remarried on December 9,1850 to Elizabeth Rogers in Barbour County, Alabama.

When the 1850 US Census was taken, Emanuel was living in close proximity to Isaac, Britton, Miles and Green Heath as well as the Baxley's and Horn's. I believe he was the son of Isaac Heath. I believe Britton, Miles and Green were his brothers.

Miles married Jennet Jane Carroll, Sarah's sister. Another sister, previously mentioned Margaret, Married Nathan Horn. The Carroll sisters were the daughters of Willis and Margaret Carroll. Willis died before the children were grown. Apparently Jennet went to live with Nathan and Margaret Carroll Horn. Jennet is even buried under the Horn name at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, just north of Texasville, Alabama.

Nathan and Margaret Horn had several children who married into Price, Parmer, and Bass families in Barbour County, Alabama.

Jennet had eight Carroll siblings. She and Miles Heath had eleven children, each of their children carry a given name identical to her Carroll siblings.

Catherine Elizabeth "Kitsey" Carroll, married William Baxley. They had at least eight children. Kitsey and Bill are buried at Antioch as well.

Henry Carroll, brother of the Carroll sisters, was twice married and had seven children between the two wives. He died as a CSA Prisoner and is buried at Camp Chase, OH Grave Mark No. 1505, Grave 20, Row 33.
