John Heath (son of John William Heath and Margaret Nancy (Peggy) Harman) was born March 03, 1800 in Craven County, NC, and died 1867 in Bloomsom, Lamar County, Tx. He married (1) Rebecca Unknown. He married (2) Mary (Polly) Monroe on July 13, 1820 in Athens, Habersham County, Georgia.

1860 Census Upsher County, Texas: Listed as a farmer. He was also a carpenter and gunsmith. He had twelve children all born in Athens, Habersham County, Georgia.
John Heath drew land in the 1832 land lottery in Georgia. His brothers Griffin and Isaac also drew land in Habersham County, Georgia. All were married men.
