Williams Will in Edgecombe County, North Carolina, dated April 7, 1779 and probated in November Court, 1781, being proven by the oath of Mary Robbins and names: (1) Eldest son Arthur Robbins, 5 pounds: (2) Son William Robbins 4 pounds; (3) Son Jethro Robbins, 5 pounds; (4) Son Thomas Robbins, 5 pounds; (5) Grandson Jesse Green, 20 pounds; (6) Daughter Luraney Horn, use of a malatto girl Fillis, gift of 5 sheep; (7) Grandson Elias Horn, reversional interest in Fillis; (8) Daughter Elizabeth "the now wife of Thomas Williams", slave Diner; (9) Daughter Charity "the now wife of David Sears, "feather bed and furnishings and 15 pounds; (10) Daughter Milly Robbins, feather bead and furnishings, slave girl Jud; (11) Son and executor John Robbins, all land, 7 slaves, residue of the estate; (12) executor John Williams; (13) Witnesses Jacob Robbins, Mary Robbins, and Benjamin Weaver. The inventory of William Robbins (Robens) was taken in Edgecombe County on August 24, 1781, by John Robens and John Williams: 662 acres of land; 11 slaves, 22 cattle, 47 hogs, 10 sows, 60 pigs, 3 horses, breeding mare, 30 sheep, 27 geese, 3 feather beds and furnishings, 2 chests, 6 chairs, looking glass, 3 linen wheels, 2 wool wheels, 2 pairs of cotton cards, pair of wool cards, 2 iron spindles, hackle, flax break, 3 plows, colter, 2 plow frames 6 weeding hoes, 2 grubbing hoes, 4 boxes, cart and wheels, 19 cider hogsheads, 10 cider barrels, 2 corse collars, 2 Hames, pair of traces, 3 baskets, 2 reap hooks, some corn, tobacco, sheat, pork, goose feathers, flax, tallow, spun thread, 42 yards of cloth, spun wool, paper, 7 dozen candles, 7 stacks of fodder, 4 1/2 bushels of peas, bushel of beans, skin, 9 sides of tanned leather, 4 rawhides.
