Edna A. Ashlaw, 77, of 215 West Side Terrace, Carthage, died June 20th in the Carthage Area Hospital. The funeral was Wednesday, June 22 in Grace Episcopal Church, with Rev. Harry R. Little, recotr, officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend. Arrangements were made with the Bossout - Lundy Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carol) Townsend, Lowville, and Mrs. Leroy (Delores) Cook, West Carthage; four grandchildren; three brothers, Vernon Ashlaw and Wilford Ashlaw, both of Carthage, and Vaughn Ashlaw, Harrisville, and a sister, Rosella, of Carthage. Born at St. Regis Falls on January 7 1911, a daughter of Joseph and Alphozen Gokey Ashlaw, she attended St. Regis Falls schools. Her first marriage on October 4 1930 to Bernard Mashtare ended in divorce. She married Carl B. Jones on July 10 1954 in Edwards. He died December 7 1965. Mrs. Jones was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
She was buried on 22 Jun 1988 in Sunnyside Cemetery, Great Bend, NY..⁽¹²⁶⁾ Parents: Joseph ASHLAW and Alphozen GOKEY.
