I am currently researching my ancestors (the Hammontrees) and my husband's ancestors (the Butters) and his and my ancestors (the Simons). As for the SIMONS, Darrel's father's mother was Clara Belle Simons (from Jerome Simons b. 1839 Pulaski, MI, from Alvin Simons b. 1812 Cayuga Co., NY, from Alvin Simons b. 1788 Fleming NY, from Loton Simons b. 1760 Enfield, CT, from John S. Simons b. 1724/25 Enfield, CT, from John Simons b. 1693/94 Enfield, CT, from William Simons1659 Salem MA) and Marcia's father's mother was Mary Elizabeth Simons (from Elijah Simons b. 1830 Perry Co., PA, from William Simons b. @1810, from John Christian Simons b. 1773 Perry Co., PA, from Johannes Simons b. 1745 NY, from John Simons b. 1724. As for the BUTTERS, Clara Belle Simons was married to William Francis Butters, son of William Butters. In 1858 or 1859, William Butters (b. 1829 Lincolshire, England, came to America in 1849, settled in Pulaski, MI 1853) purchased an 80 acre parcel with a John Butters (came to America from England, settled in Pulaski 1855) . We are trying to determine their relationship to each other. Also, we are trying to make a connection to another John Butters, from England, who settled in Pulaski 1844.
