She was buried on 9 Nov 1995 in Holland Cemetery, Holland, VA..⁽⁹⁾ A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Clyde Gustavius Johnson. She was a retired teacher of the Isle of Wight and Nansemond County School Systems. Mrs. Johnson was a former resident of Holland, VA. She was a member of the Holland Christian Church where she sang in the choir for 50 years. She attended Longwood College, was member of the Obici Hospital Auxiliary, was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society. She was a past president of the Holland Womans Club.

She was married to Clyde Gustavious JOHNSON (son of Joseph Gustavius JOHNSON and Cora Ann COUNCIL) on 29 Jun 1929 in Windsor, Isle of Wight, VA. Clyde Gustavious JOHNSON⁽¹⁰⁾ was born on 1 Jun 1904.
