Includes NotesNotes for Cynthia Ann Waters:
The notice from the newspaper of Cynthia Ann (Waters) Campbell obituary in 1911.

Campbell.---At the residence of her son-in-law, Albert G Edwards, Rockland, Ont., March 11th, 1911, of pneumonia. Cynthia Ann Waters, relict (wife) of the late John W Campbell, aged seventy nine years, three months and three days.
Our sister was born at l'Orignal, Ont., Dec. 8th, 1831, being the daughter of the late Charles Waters, who was the liberal member for Prescott and Russel, during the Rebellion of 1837-38.
On April 5th, 1853 she was united in marriage to Mr. John W Campbell, who "fell asleep" in Christ at Rockland, Jan 4th 1904.
Her home was now at Thurso, Que., and during the early sixties, at the time of a gracious revival on both sides of the Ottawa River, she surrendered her heart to the Saviour, and was baptised at Fox's Point, Clarence Ont. by Rev. J S Ross now of Califorina, and united with the Thurso Baptist Church.
In 1880 the family removed to Michigan, but returning to Canada, they took up residence at Rockland, Ont., in 1893. On Sept. 1899 she united with the Rockland Church. Quiet and retiring by nature, she yet made her influence felt for good and for righteousness. She was beloved by all, and a most self-sacrificing mother, and to-day "her children rise up to call her blessed." Shortly before she "fell asleep" in Jesus, her saviour, she told her daughter that her text for the day could be found in Psalm 17; "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness, I shall be satisfied when I awake in Thy likeness." Friends from far and near gathered to pay their respects to the departed, the service being held in the Rockland Baptist Church, and was conducted by Pastor G R MacFaul, of Qttawa who spoke on, "The House on High" from John 14: 2, 3, and Heb. 13: 14 and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetary on the hill-side at Thurso. Que. She was a great admirer of The Canadian Baptist, having taken it for over twenty five years. She leaves to mourn her loss, four sons, Clinton J., of Porcupine, Ont., Arthur S. of Rockland, Ont., John G. of Massey, Ont. and Chas. W. Campbell of Rockland, and also two daughters, Mrs. D. H. Currie, of Kenora, and Mrs. A.G. Edwards, of Rockland. No higher tribute can be paid to our departed sister than to say that all her children have accepted Christ as their Saviour, and look forward to a glad family reunion in the Home-Land. G. R. M.
