Note: Letter Minnie wrote to her Aunt Jane ,wife of James Daniel Kilcrease. The spelling is as she wrote it. Dated April 28,1935, Sylvester Ga. Dear Aunt Jane and family where your are it has been a long since I have heard from you. I don't no where you are. The last I had from Ruth you was at Nathaniel. I will aslo send her a card or letter soon. I have so much to undergo till I have not got the mind or something. I don't now what I recon it is just sorryness it seems like I have more trouble that anybody but I no I don't when I can think right. I am mighty well. I blessed but listen the 9th of February our dear Lord called to our home and took our dear little Jack it was so hard to have to give him up. It had just been 2 years since we had to give up one. Didn't seem like but just a few days and while Willie Otis was sick just 2or3 nights before he died. I dreamed Ozella come to me and said Mama , Willis Otis is gone and cared Jack wit him and I looked toward the east and saw 2 caskets just alike sailing in the air, well I never saw anymore peace till Jack was put away and it all was plain I was sure easy. All the time about him for he went rite straight to dwinling away till he was just as poor as he could be. And he was sick 3 weeks he like to bled to death one night at the nose and the Dr. said he had blood poison. I no you think its foolish of me but I have cought my self looking towards the east for something where I saw them leaving I was so burdened. I would look before I thought of myself but when Jack was put away that was all gone and when they was singing Angel Band at the funeral it seem like I was carried up in that moment of saorrows and I could feel that he was with his brother rejoicing with them angels and I could not help but rejoice with them right there. In my sorrowful condition although it seemed more than I could bear and I was then more reconciled than I had ever been and I just wanted to praise God for his goodness and great blessing he had bestowed upon me for I no he does all things well and according to his will and purpose. I don't fell like it will be many days before I will be joining them in praise to his great and good mine and when we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun we no less days to sing Gods Praise that when we first began. And ain't that worth all the troubles and trials sickness and death that we have to go through with although its so hard to go through with Thee is never nothing so bad that it could not been worse for I have so much to be thankful for well Aunt Jane I hope you are well and enjoying life a peaceful reconciled mind for if we can be reconciled to our lot we are all right. Hope you are where you can go to meeting we are having a good meeting right on I went home with Brother Bozeman from church last Sat. and spent the night don't no when I ever have spent the night off before they live at Isabella. Knocked him about pretty bad. She is just getting to where she can do something the mad dons are raging around her it keeps me scared. Well finish this in the morning.
