Notes for Mollie Kathleen Witchey: Mollie Witchey Irish was a cook at Mary Mccranks Shamrock Inn in Chehalis Washington for thirteen years. She had originally hired on as a housekeeper, but when Mary found out that she could cook and bake, she immediatedly put her to work in the kitchen. People used to come for miles around to eat Mollies fried chicken and he pecan pies. She quit work to take care of her husband Walter when he got so bad that he couldn't take care of himself. I guess one of the my favorite memories of mom was when I would come home from sunday school and find mom in the kitchen. She would be whistleing and cooking a big sunday dinner and the kitchen smelled so good of her fried chicken and whatever she was baking in the oven.
