I have been trying to trace our family for several months. My grandmother is deceased and she told us we had Cherokee Indian heritage. So far I have not found out where? I am having a hard time tracing her grandmother. May was in an orphanage at around 12-13 years of age and I guess this caused us to have a difficult time tracing her roots. We have gotten quite a bit of information on the internet. If you have any additional information it would be helpful. I hope someone else can use this information.
