I am a descendant of the Clement Family from Nova Scotia and the Lanaux Family. I believe the Pierre Clement Family went from Nova Scota to Nantes, France then Louisiana. Other ancestors includes Michele Boudereaux or Boudrot from La Rochelle,France, Pierre Thibodeaux from Portou, France, Mathurn Jette or Eschete from Fieche, France.
The last record I have on the Lanaux Family is Col. Phillipe Lanaux from Nantes, France who fought with Lafayette during the American Revolution.
