David McConaughy Wilson (son of David Agnew, D.D. Wilson and Martha Emeline Mc Conaughy)271 was born 26 Sep 1853 in Gettysburg, Adams Co., Pennsylvania, and died 27 Oct 1926 in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Selena McClary on 09 Jun 1885 in Milan, Missouri271, daughter of Robert McClary and Mary Ann Cochran.

Info. from the Standard newspaper of Milan, Missouri upon David M. Wilson's death on Oct. 27, 1926. David was considered the finest Shakespearian scholar in Sullivan County. He was a graduate of Hanover University, and also of the Missouri University at Columbia in 1875, after which he as a young man entered the office of John M. Swallow, in Milan, for the purpose of digging deeper into the mysteries of his beloved profession, law.
In 1877 he was admitted to the bar, before completing his law course he returned to Gettysburg, Pa., and read law with his uncle, David Mc Conaughy, where he practiced his profession.
He returned to Milan in 1881 and opened a law office and has practiced continually ever since. He and the late John W. Clapp, formed a partnership and had a very lucrative practice for many years. In 1883 Mr. Wilson was elected school commissioner on the democratic ticket, and in 1884 he was elected prosecuting attorney of Sullivan County, on the same ticket.He was re-elected to the same office in 1886. "Mack" Wilson was deeply attached to the Masonic lodge. He became a master mason in 1896 and has been a member of the Milan lodge ever since, except the nine years spent in Pennsylvania. He served as Master of Seamen lodge from 1887 to 1889. In 1906 he was elected Grand Master of the lodge in Missouri. In 1908 he was elected a member of the board of directors of the Masonic home at St. Louis and gave unstinted of his time to the interests of masonic work ever since. Mr. Wilson was not a member of any church, but took an active interest in the Presbyterian church, having taught the bible class for many years. In one of the largest attended funerals ever in Milan, and the floral offerings bore mute testimony of the high regard in which Mr. Wilson was held. Mr. Wilson was united in marriage to miss Lena McCleary of Milan, many years ago. Mrs. Wilson preceded her husband to the unknown world by several yeaars. l Children born of the union and surviving are: D.M. Wilson, Jr., Tampa, Florida; Mrs. Mary Wilson McCutchan, of Virginia, Robert M. Wilson and Miss Faith Wilson, of Milan.
David McConaughy Wilson was born at Gettysburg, Pa., Sept. 26, 1853, in the house built by his grandfather in 1806, and in the same room in which his mother was born in 1821.
He was named for his mother's uncle, Rev. David McConaughy.D.D., President of Washington college, Washington, Pa. His ancestors, bothe the Wilsons and the McConaughys, came to this country and settled near Gettysburg, Pa., in 1740. They were of the old Scotch covenanter stock and through intermarriage with the Agnews, the subject of our sketch traces his descent not only from the Scotch Covenanters, but also the French Juguenots. He is the fourth in direct line, to bear the name of David, and his son the fifth. The first, David Wilson, his great grandfather was a captain in the (revolutionary war?). His father was a Presbyterian minister and moved to Potosi, Mo., in 1860, subsequently residing in Ironton, Jefferson City and St. Charles.
He was a student at the State University for four years, and from which he was graduated with the highest honors of his class. In 1876 he went to Pa. and studied law with his uncle, Hon. David McConaughy, one of the leading lawyers of that state. In 1881 he returned to this state and was admitted to the bar at Linneus, Missouri. In 1883 he was elected county school commissioner and served one term, and the next fall was elected prosecuting attorney of the county and served three consecutive terms.
He was married June 9, 1882 to Selena McClary, who died Nov. 27, 1919. Of this marriage four children were born, two daughters and two sons, Mary, the wife of Trimble Mccutchan, a Presbyterian minister, resides in Warm Springs, Va., D.M.Jr., who resides in Tampa, Fla.; Robert M. and Faith, who were living with him at the time of his death.
David M. Wilson lived in a nice 2-story house on 5th St. in Milan.
