That his father and mother both died when he was small, and he lived with Titus Parkerin Pittsfield Mass. until the death of said Titus Parker, and was there with him in 1850. After Titus Parker died he came to Lee, Mass to live with Titus Parkers son Ephraim Parker and was with him in 1860, and was working sawing lumber. In 1862 he lived in Lee and worked in Paper Mill. That he thinks he gave his age as 20 when he enlisted in 1862."
