Jane Ellen Holland (b. February 13, 1932)
Jane Ellen Holland was born February 13, 1932 in Pearson, Atkinson County, Georgia. She married Jesse Leon Coleman on April 15, 1951 in Daytona Beach, Volusia County, Florida, son of John Melton Coleman and Jessie Lee Coleman.

Jane grew up in Waycross, Ware County, Georgia. Her dad was employed as a lineman for Georgia Power Company. Her maternal grandparents, Leonard & Nancy Bryant lived on a farm near Pearson, Georgia. She spent many summers and happy weekends at their farm. She attended Waycross Jr. High and Waycross Sr. High. In 1948, her dad, Charles Harvey Holland, took a job with Florida Power & Light Co. in Daytona Beach, Florida. There she attended Mainland High School and graduated in May, 1950. While in high school she played tennis and was in the glee club. She lived at 230 Hobart Street. She met Leon who lived across the street. She subsequently married him at the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach on April 15, 1951. Rev. Lee Nichols officiated. Her sister Jacqueline Linda Holland was her maid of honor.
She is presently a member of Sheridan Hills Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir. She also worked with children's choirs. She loves music and spends time listening to it.
She is a full time wife to Leon and was a full time mother to Stuart, Richard and David when they were growing up. She now enjoys being a grandmother to her 5 grandchildren, Christy, Stuart II, Lia, Katie and Ben. She also is very active as a genealogist and has done a great deal of research. She is a member of the Gann Historical Society & Library. She attends their meetings each year that are held in a different city each time. She has also gone on 2 trips to the British Isles and Europe with Gann society members.
She enjoys traveling and sightseeing. Her first trip after after Leon retired in 1989 was to the British Isles and Ireland. She really loved Ireland. Another one of her favorite places is Charleston, South Carolina where she enjoys touring the gardens on the outlying plantations and the historic homes. She also enjoys cruises. She especially enjoyed the cruise through the Panama Canal. Later she took one around the Hawaiian Islands as well as spending time in Honolulu.
