50. John Buchanan Clawson was born on Feb 10 1854. He died in Jul 1932. According to the "History of Warren, Benton, Jasper and newton Counties, Indiana"

"He was elected Justice of the Peace, and served for eighteen months. About 1880, he engaged in mercantile business at Independence, which he still continues. In 1882, he was elected Township Trustee by the Democrats. Mr. Clawson is a Master Mason, and a Past Grand in the order of Odd Fellows. He is, besides, a very worthy gentleman and a highly esteemed citizen."
