 Includes NotesNotes for Van Cory:
There is a picture of the school in Tennesee where Van taught on the back of
which he is referred to as Robert Van Cory. He died in Tennesee of a vitamin
deficiency (pellagra or beri beri, I think).

A pocket watch in the possession of Lee Cory has the initials RVC engraved on
the back. This probably belonged to Van. A watchmaker who looked at the watch
on August 31, 1993 stated it was made after Robert V. Cory (Lucky Bob) died in
1879.

!BIR: Scrapbook of Lee Cory. The book contains a photograph from a newspaper
(Milford Mail?) under which Lee wrote, "This is the Robert Cory Farm where his
son, Lincoln Cory was born on June 7, 1860; also born here were Lincoln Cory's
six oldest children Van, Oct. 13, 1882; Maude, Mar 23, 1884; Dean, July 18,
1885; Tad, Aug. 16, 1887; Fay, Sept. 29, 1889; Lee, Oct. 28, 1891."
