INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING A MEMORY BOOK
You will need:
5" x 8" spiral-bound index card notebook
100 journal jar questions or topics
picture for cover
cardstock for mounting picture to fit
glue stick
1. Cut out questions. This is easiest with a paper cutter. Choose 100 questions that you wish to use in the memory book.
2. Glue 2 questions per side utilizing both sides
of each card in notebook. Glue these in
alternating spots on the pages, so as not to have
an overly-bulky book This is the most time-
consuming part of this project.
3. Cut card stock to fit front cover. Glue on.
4. Cut out cover picture. Center and glue on card stock. Add a pretty pen and you have a special gift for a family member, friend, or even for yourself!
The best thing about this memory book is that it is portable. My mother keeps hers in her purse and loves to choose a topic and write a bit while she is waiting in the doctor's office or bank line, etc. It is also nice not to be tied down by a date. The writer can choose whichever topic she is in the mood to reminisce about at any given time.
