Notes for Marie Dorothea Tholen:
Newspaper article, maybe from a Port Washington paper, after 19 Oct. 1914.
"Two October Brides"
The marriage of Miss Marie Tholen to Mr. William Tuchlinsky was solemnized in Milwaukee last Monday morning. There was no reception of any kind and only a few members of the families of the contracting parties were present. This wedding of one of Port's fairest daughters is of unusual interest to our readers because the steamship from Europe at the time originally set, Oct. 3 to Oct. 16, made it impossible for Mrs. Tholen to reach home on the date planned for the wedding, and this sadly interfered with the wedding arrangements. The Star and many friends sincerely trust that while love's pathway often is filled with small troubles like this one that it will be a favorable augury for a long, happy and prosperous married life for the newly married couple. Mr. and Mrs. Tuchlinsky are enjoying a wedding trip on the Great Lakes and upon their return will reside in Delavan, Wis., where Mr. Tuchlinsky is engaged in business.
