William Howard Cruce (b. August 6, 1909, d. October 23, 1983)
William Howard Cruce (son of William Preston Cruce and Nannie Bell Mayo) was born August 6, 1909 in Grandbury Texas, and died October 23, 1983 in El Centro Calif. He married Edith Helen Beadle on November 23, 1936 in Yuma Ariz.

William (Whitey) Cruce, left for Calif,in 1924. He rode a freight train all the way from Texas, by himself, he was15 years old at the time.
William found work and sent money home to his mother and sisters.
When he was able he brought the whole family to California.
The family lived with William and his wife Edith, until they could provide for themselves.
Williams, nickname was Whitey, because of his light blond hair.
He also had very blue eyes just like his mother.
William was active for many years in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and held many positions in the organization, including president.
William was a member in good standing in the Blythe Mason Lodge for over fifty years, and was a well liked and respected man in his community.
William, was a good son and husband,and a wonderful father. No kinder man lived.
He was loved by all those who were Luckey to knew him.
