Jasper Louis Wright III was born in Taylor on November 25, 1944, the son of Jasper Louis Wright II and Doris Whitfield. He was baptized and confirmed as an adult on March 27, 1970 at St. John Lutheran Church, Thrall, and the next day he married Sandra Schernik, who survives him after 27 years of marriage.

J.L. lived in the Taylor area all his life, was a member of St. Paul
Lutheran Church for 20 years, and belonged to the Taylor Golf
Association. He worked for IBM for the past 30 years, most recently
as a Production Control Manager.

J.L. Wright is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Stephen and Phillip; his mother, Doris; and one brother, James, and his wife, Dorothy, all of Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Condra Funeral Home, with interment at Taylor City Cemetery. Officiating are Pastors David A. Tietz and Sandra G. Wilcox, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor. Family and friends are invited to the church fellowship hall, corner of West Seventh and Fowzer, following the interment for visiting and refreshments served by the women of the church.
