ARRELL JENNINS MEADOWS:
Carrell met Mary Lee through their best friends. On afternoon, Mary Lee and her best friend Janie Salmon were walking to the movies in the town of Grottoes. Carrell and his best friend, Larry "Bunky" Miller were riding in a car down the same road and they stopped to talk to Mary Lee and Janie.

Carrell Meadows - JOHNSON CITY

Carrell J. "Buddy" Meadows, 77, 509 Pine Ridge Road, Johnson City, died Sunday, January 30, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Meadows was a native of Elkton, VA, and had lived in Johnson City since 1970. He was a son of the late William "Buzz" and Reda Ann Rinaca Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a retired mechanical engineer and a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Clifton Meadows.

Survivors include his wife: Mary Lee Meadows of the home; One son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Blair and Mary Lou Meadows of Travelers Rest, SC; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ronda and Robert Curtis of Johnson City, Carol and Simon Hunt of Stamford, Conn.; One brother and sister-in-law, Garland and Janice Meadows of Elkton, VA.; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Iris and Raymond Rimel of Elkton, VA, Louise and Ron McCoy of Harrisonburg, VA, and June and Leroy Means of Norman Park, GA; and one brother-in-law, Jim and Wanda Melton; three grandchildren, Jordan McCarson, Britni McCarson and Sara Curtis. Seven nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel from 2:30-4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 2, 2005. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 Sunset Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601.

BILLIE FAYE GREER MELTON 2002-01-10 (2002-01-08)
Billie Faye Greer Melton, 70, Fort Myers, died at her home on Tuesday, January 8, 2002. Born in Glenmora, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Baskin Wesley and Genevie (Wiley) Greer.
On August 15, 1958, she married Edward B. Melton, Jr. in El Paso, Texas. Together they had four sons, Veldon B. Melton, Fort Myers, William Hardy Melton, Dalton, Georgia, Edward B. Melton, III, Fort Myers and Charles W. Melton, Virginia.
In 1979, Billie and her family moved to Fort Myers, where Ed continued with his teacher career, retiring in 1996 after 35 years. Their adopted son and daughter, Ray and Vivian Forren and their three children, Tina, Stephanie, and Ray, Jr. also moved from Virginia to Fort Myers at the same time as Billie and Ed.
Mrs. Melton became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1966. She was a member of the Tice Congregation, at 5421 Tice Street, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2002 at 2:00 p.m.
