416. Pierre-Remi VADENAY @ was born about 1665 in France. of d'Augniere, Diocese of Paris????
<below by Betty Vadner Haas>
According to the marriage certificate of their son, Jean Baptiste, Pierre Remi and his wife Louise Moirie (Morin?) were from the "paroisse d'Anquiere, diocese de Paris". The Repertoire records Remy Vadnais and Louise Moirie both deceased at the time of their son's marriage . Jette records "Remi and Louise Moirie, d'Anquiere, archev. Paris".
Gazeteer of France, published in London in 1793 to aid the British in posting letters to France, lists Vadenay as "a village of Champagne , in the diocese and election of Chalons". In the Akron, OH Public Library there is a multi-volume set, published in 1960, listing small towns in the world. In the volume called "France, official standard names approved by US Board on geographic names" is listed the town of Vadenay (near Chalons): Lat. 49 degrees 4 minutes N, Long. 4 degrees 24 minutes E.
Attempts to gather family information in France have been unsuccessful. It is likely that this ancestor's name was Pierre Remi and he took the surname Vadenay from the town. He was married to Louise MOIRIE @ in of d'Anguiere, Paris France.

417. Louise MOIRIE @ was born about 1665 in France. Children were:
