Ancestors of William Joseph THORLBY
This website is dedicated to the memory of my late mother-in-law
Sarah Jessey Lishmund formerly Dancy nee Thorlby, only child of William &
Fanny Thorlby. Our Thorlbys originated in Helpringham a small Lincolnshire village
and travelled south to London in the latter half of the 19c no doubt seeking
better employment prospects. Contact with Norman Weston of Spain in the year
2000 enabled me to link my research to our earliest proven ancestor William Thorlby
of North Rauceby b c1650. If you recognise any of these names why not join the
