(2) was born Unknown. He died Unknown. He was buried in Caledonia
Cemetary west of Magnolia, Illinois. According to a letter from May M. Bower
sent to Thelma Hailey(a major contributor to these records) in 1970, and shared
with Lela May Hailey, and finally with Steven Wesley DeHays, William Hailey owned
the slave referred to in "Uncle Tom's Cabin", and additionally, the
movie was filmed on his farm in Illinois. There has been no proof of this, either
in government records or the film's credits, however there is a "Mr. Haley"
appearing in the book as a slave trader in Kentucky, where the family probably
spent some time.
Steven W. DeHays 10/10/1999 He was married to Olivia (olive) Wynn / Winn on
APR 8 1795 in Lunenberg County,Virginia. In vol.2,p.437 The Old Free State 1927.

When Thomas was 8 years old, in 1815, he went from North Carolina to Tennessee,
probably with his brother Hartwell. And then in October, 1828, he did go with
this brother to Tazwell County, Illinois. He died on NOV 15 1900 in Lostant,
Illinois.
