Thirteen children wee born to Mr. and Mrs. Moritz, of whom twelve are still living as follows. Mrs. Kate Bohlmus of Milwaukee, Wis. Peter of Alberta, Canada. John, who when last heard from was in S.D., Anna, now St. Sylvester of the Concordia, KS Convent stationed at Walker, Ks as a teacher in a catholic school, Phillip of Ravenna, Mrs, Mary Bruin of Aspen Colorado. Frank of Ravenna, Rose Stallard of Ogden, UT, Tillie, now St. Borgia of Concordia KS Convent, stationed in Shoonchen, KS teacher in catholic school, Charles, Veronica, and Herbert at home. During her entire life, Mrs. Moritz was a devote Catholic and two of her daughters are devoting their lives as nuns. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Moritz and her children erected a very handsome alter as a memorial.
Mrs. Moritz suffered a break down in health in March of last year, a very serious heart trouble which was feared would result in death at that time. She survived the first attack, however, and regained her health and strength to such degree that in company of her daughter Veronica she was able to go to Ogden, UT in August, hoping that the change in climate would permanently improve her health. This seemed to be the case for a time, but on Tuesday, Dec. 28 she was stricken at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Stallard, and died after an illness of but twelve hours, during which time she suffered a stroke of paralysis.[Dianna Moritz Dethlefs Family Tree.FBC.FTW]
