ii. Nathaniel Beebe was born on Jan 23 1634/35 in Broughton, Northamptonshire, England. He died on Dec 17 1724 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He has reference number AUD42601. Nathaniel came to New England and settled in New London, Connecticut with his brothers before 1650. Land was granted to him and he settled in Stonington, CT before 1670. He would appear to have done some military service during King Philip's War, for the General Assembly in May, 1776, directed that "Nath. Beeby" and certain others should be allowed "to take to themselves those gunns now in their hands in part of wages due to them from the country." There is no evidence that he was ever married. His land was apparently absorbed in the large estates of his neighbors, the Denisons and that William Denison in his Will, dated 1715, "disposes special care of Mr. Nathaniel Beeby, during his life, and to give him a Christian Burial at his death."
