George B. Hewitt who suffered a heart attack Tuesday as he was about to climb a ladder, died yesterday at his home, twenty-four Grand avenue. He had been a contractor and builder in Middletown for a number of years. Mr. Hewitt was born in Fishkill Landing November twenty-seventh, 1864. He was the son of Elroy and Sarah J. Parker Hewitt. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church and the Men's Bible Class. Surviving relatives include his wife, the former Lillian Clark; two brothers, William and Smith S. of Fishkill, and a sister, Mrs. Arther Light of Fishkill. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the home with the Rev. Reginald T. Edwards officiating. Interment will be in the family plot. Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburgh. ************ Funeral services for George B. Hewitt were held at the residence, twenty-four Grand avenue, yesterday afternoon, wit the Rev. R. T. Edwards officiating. June 7, 1900 A pretty home wedding occurred at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Horton, 88 Monhagen avenue, Wednesday evening, at 8 o'clock, when their daughter, Miss Laura Olive Horton, was married to Sylvanus G. Ogden. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Charles A. Hollis, pastor of St. Paul's M. E. Church, in the presence of fifty of the relatives and friends of the contracting parties. The parlor, in which the ceremony took place, was prettily decorated with ferns and cut flowers. Mendelsshon's wedding march was played by Miss Nellie Mills, of Bloomingburg, and the bride and groom were attended by Miss Anna Holcomb, of Wilkesbarre, Pa., as bridesmaid, and Homor Horton; of Paterson, N. J., a brother of the bride, as best man. The bride was becomingly attired in a dress of blue satin trimmed with white point lace and ribbon. She carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid's dress was pink henrietta cloth trimmed with ribbon and lace. After the ceremony, which was with a ring, the newly married couple led the way to a wedding repast, and afterwards left the house amid a shower of rice and other omens of good luck. They were driven to the James street station where they took Erie train 3 for Niagara Falls and other places in the western part of the State. Upon their return they will reside at 134 Wickham avenue. Among those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Longwell, of Warwick; Mr. and Mrs. Mills and daughter, of Bloominburg; Mr. and Mrs. Charels Andrews and family, of Howlls, N. Y.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Owen and family, of Goshen; and Misses Anna and Kate Holcomb, of Wilkesbarre, Pa. Mrs. Ogden is an attractive young woman with numerous friends. She is a member of St. Paul's M. E. Church. She received a large number of handsome wedding presents. Mr. Ogden is engaged in the grocery business at 134 Wickham avenue. He is an honorary member of Phoenix Engine Company and for several years was its treasurer. He is also a member of Middletown Lodge, I.O.O.F., and Wallkill Connell, Jr. O.U.A.M. Parents: Samuel D.
