Thomas Nelson, a well known farmer of the town of Wallkill, passed away at his home, near Scotchtown, early Sunday morning, after ten days' illness, of pleuro-pneumonia, in the sixty-fifth year of his age.
Deceased was born in Ireland in 1841, and was a son of Thomas and Jane Nelson. He was educated in the public schools of his native country, and at the age of eighteen years, he left school, and four years later, came to America. The first three months of his residence, in this country, were spent in New York city, after which he went to Washington county, N. Y. remaining there for three years. He then came to Orange county, and has since made his home here, residing for thirty years in the farm where he died. He was extensively engaged in the milk business and had a fine farm of 146 acres.
August 23, 1875 Mr. Nelson was married to Mary E. Ogden, daughter of Gilbert Ogden, an old and highly respected citizen of this county, and a Union soldier in the Civil War. Besides his wife, the deceased is survived by two children, James Smiley, of near Scotchtown, and Letitia, at home. A daughter Emma Agnes died in infancy. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Nelson, of Mapledale, and Simon, living near the Pine Knot school house.
Mr. Nelson was an active Republican and always took a great interest in the affairs of his party. He was a member of the Episcopal Church.

Thomas Nelson prepared a will which was probated in Orange County Surrogate Court, Goshen, New York on August 6, 1906. His wife was appointed sole executrix as well as guardian of their daughter, Letitia. All real and personal property was bequeathed to Mary Elizabeth Nelson with instructions that should Mary die or remarry, all property was to be equally divided to James Smiley Nelson and Letitia Jane Nelson. Mrs. Paul Folberh, of New Hampton, Dies at Thrall

Mrs. Sarah Katrina Folberth, wife of Paul Folberth, of New Hampton, died Monday in Thrall Hospital following an illness of four days, at the age of 51 years, one month and seven days.
Mrs. Folberth was born June 2, 1872, in Austria Hungary, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Norderser. March 25, 1891, she was married in Austria Hungary to Paul Folberth. She had been a resident of New Hampton for the past four years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of this city and an active member of its Ladies Aid Society.
Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Anna, wife of Wallace Ogden, and Paul and Sophia Katrina, at home; one sister, Anna, living in Roumania, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. G. A. Gechner, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Wallkill cemetery at Phillipsburgh.

Albert W. O'Brien Sr., 63, of 16 Spring St., Middletown, a florist, died Wednesday at home after a long illness.
A longtime resident of the area, he was born April 19, 1910 in Brooklyn to Burt and Emma Peterson O'Brien. He married Vivian Dorothy Van Curen who died Jan. 10, 1969.
Mr. O'Brien began as a florist at the Grand Avenue Greenhouses where he was affiliated with the business. In 1955 he established the Spring Street Green houses.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Middletown and served in the Seabees during World War II. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Middletown Elks' Club and the Eagle Engine Co.
Surviving are a son, Albert W. O'Brien Jr. of Middletown; a grandson, Neil O'Brien of Middletown; a grand-daughter, Mrs. Donna Knapp of Middletown; a great-grandson, Raymond Edward Knapp Jr., aunts, uncles, a niece and a nephew.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m., Saturday in the Hasbrouck Funeral Chapel, 208 North St., Middletown, with the Rev. Robert A. Brown officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of the Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 Friday at the funeral home. Eagles will hold services at 7 p.m. Friday to be followed by Eagle Engine Co. services at 7:30 at the funeral home.

Albert Ogden, 78, of New Hampton, died Wednesday at Goshen after a long illness.
Born Dec. 4, 1892, in Oakland Valley, he was the son of Asa and Mary Bailey Ogden. He was married in 1930 in Middletown to the former Grace Cooper, who died in 1960.
Mr. Ogden was a 25-year resident of the area and a retired Ontario and Western Railroad employee.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Mary Tomaszewski of New Hampton, Mrs. Hazel Towers, Mrs. Frances Santos, Mrs. Marjorie Battisti, all of Middletown, and Mrs. Helen Wyant of Bloomingburg; a brother, LeRoy Ogden of Middletown; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Skinner of Port Jervis, and 24 grandchildren.
The Rev. Stephen Bachelder, pastor of the First Congregational Church, Middletown, will conduct services at 10 Friday in the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Middletown. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight.

Albert C. Ogden, president of the Ogden Milk Company and deacon of First Congregational Church for forty years, died yesterday in Horton Hospital after a lingering illness. His home had been at 136 West Main street.
Mr. Ogden was born in Middletown September eighth, 1864, and had lived here all his life. He was a son of George and Emeline Clark Ogden. He was married in Goshen October twenty-third, 1890, to Anna Jackson.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, George T. of Middletown and Seward J., of Kew Gardens, L. I.; six grandchildren, Richard Ogden Wells, Georgene Ogden, Anne Ogden, Albert Clark Ogden, George Timlow Ogden, 3rd, and Seward Jackson Ogden, Jr.; two sisters, Lottie O. Whitney of Plymouth, Conn. ,, and Genevieve B. Ogden of Owego; and a brother, Frank T. Ogden, also of Owego. He was a brother of the late Fred D. Ogden.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p. m. at First Church, with the Rev. Richard Billingsley officiating. Interment will be in Wallkill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be E. E. Conkling, Theodore Reeve, Howard Keeler, George Frint, John Beakes and William Davis.

Albert C. Ogden's will was filed at Orange County Surrogate Court in Goshen, NY. He left jewelry to his grandsons, Albert C. Ogden and George T. Ogden. He bequeathed to his son, Seward J. Ogden, land on Monhagen Avenue, Middletown per Deed Book 414, page 243. George T. Ogden, a son, received all stock in the A. C. Ogden Milk Company with a condition that he agree to pay Annie E. Ogden, executrix, $100 per month as long as she lives. All the rest of his property was left to his wife. The will was probated Oct. 9, 1939. HYMENEAL.
One of the most interesting events in Otisville social circles is the Cuddeback Schlitt wedding, which was consummated at the bride's home in Otisville, Wednesday afternoon, Aug. [19].
The groom, Martin Cuddeback, is a resident of Middletown, where he has, through honesty and industry, gained enviable distinction among his large circle of friends. He is a locomotive engineer on the Erie Railroad and is held in high esteem because of his trustworthiness.
Mrs. Schlitt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Ogden, of Otisville, is most favorably known both in Otisville and Middletown among a large number of friends and acquaintances.
Mr. and Mrs. Cuddeback are taking an extended tour visiting Hancock, East Branch and other places of interest to them. In a few weeks they will return to Middletown which will be their future home.

Andrew J. Ogden died on Wednesday, at his home in Otisville. He was born in the town of Mount Hope on June 7, 1835, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Ogden. He had resided on the farm where he died for the past twenty-seven years. He was married on August 18, 1861 to Miss Hester C. Marsh, who survives him with four children: Ira, at home; Smiley J. Ogden, of Middletown; Mrs. J. B. Garey, of Otisville, and Mrs. Alma Cuddeback, of Matamoras.

The funeral of Asa J. Ogden, of Oakland, formerly an old and highly respected citizen of Otisville, will be held from the Otisville Presbyterian Church, Tuesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Asa J. Ogden, of Oakland Valley, Sullivan county, died in the St. Francis Hospital at 7:40 on Tuesday evening, June 25th, after a short illness. He was 59 years of age.
Deceased was born in Orange county, at Mount Hope, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Ogden. The greater part of his life was spent at Oakland Valley, where for many years he had been in the employ of the Ontario & Western Railroad as a section man. In 1883, he was united in marriage with Miss Carrie Price, of Monticello.
The surviving relatives are his wife, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Fannie Skinner, of Port Jervis; four sons, Clarence, Wallace, Albert and Leroy Ogden, all of Oakland Valley; his mother, Mrs. Charlotte Ogden, of Jersey City; one brother Alonzo Ogden, of Paw Paw, West Virginia; and one sister, Mrs. Fannie Nearpass, of Jersey City. Mr. David C. Sayer, manager of the business of the late Wood T. Ogden, was married last evening to the eldest daughter of the deceased at her home, No. 25 Mulberry street. The wedding was a quiet one owing to the recent death of Mr. Ogden and only the relatives of the family were present. They numbered about 40, those from out of town being from Newburgh an Warwick, where both parties are well known.
The ceremony took place at 8 o'clock and was performed by Rev. C. J. Page, pastor of the First Baptist Church. The bride and groom were ushered into the parlor by two nieces of the former, Miss Julia Myers, of this city, and Miss Gertrude Irvin, of Newburgh. Mendelssohn's wedding march was played on the piano by the groom's brother, Mr. John Sayer. The bride was handsomely attired in a dress of white and carried a beautiful bouquet.
During the evening a fine supper was served the guests. The company passed a very pleasant evening and the wedding was altogether a delightful one. The bride received numerous gifts from her relatives and friends.
Mr. Sayer is an excellent young man and has developed considerable ability in the management of Mr. Ogden's business, which he looked after during that gentlemen's long illness. He is a member of the Excelsior Hook and Ladder Company and of the Twenty-fourth Separate Company, and his associates in those organizations will wish him well in his union with the lady of his choice. The bride is a young lady of many excellent qualities, and her many acquaintances and friends in Middletown and elsewhere will unite in the hope that her marriage will be a happy one.
Mr. and Mrs. Sayer will not go on any wedding trip at present, and will make their home on Mulberry street.

Mrs. Augusta Ogden Sayer, widow of David C. Sayer, died at her home on Academy avenue this morning.
Mrs. Sayer was a daughter of the late Wood T. Ogden, a veteran of the civil war, and was born on a farm near Middletown, Jan. 13, 1867. The larger part of her life was spent in Middletown, where she was married on February 13, 1889, to David C. Sayer, and later moved with him to Denver, Col., where he died September 21, 1901.
She is survived by six children, Dorothy A., Chief Operator of the O. C. Telephone Co., Marie, assistant in the office of Dr. Harvey S. DeWitt; Wood Ogden, O. & W. clerk and Irma, Bertha and Leila, at home.
Mrs. Sayer's illness covered a period of two years, and it was borne with the patience and cheerfulness that characterized her whole life. She leaves to her children the undying memory of many years, spent in untiring devotion to their welfare. She will be mourned by a large circle of friends, to whom she was always loyal, and by whom she will be tenderly remembered.

Charles Ogden of Ridgebury died yesterday at his home after a long illness. He was eighty-one.
Mr. Ogden was born in Honesdale, Pa., July twelfth, 1868, a son of Joseph and Charlotte Satterly Ogden.
Surviving him is a brother George Ogden, of Goshen.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at ten o'clock at the Hasbrouck Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kenneth O. Eaton will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel this evening.

Ogden Rites Sunday
Private funeral services for Charles C. Ogden, sixty-eight Wallkill avenue, who died yesterday at Horton Hospital, will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Hasbrouck's Chapel.
Mr. Ogden was born here May ninth, 1885, a son of John and Susan Truesdell Ogden. He was a member of the Beebe and Ogden Printing Company and of Empire Aerie, Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, the former Cora Banker; a daughter, Mildred Ogden; a sister, Nellie, wife of Daniel Cross; and an uncle, Sylvanus Ogden, all of Middletown.
The Rev. R. T. Edwards will conduct services. Internment will be in the family plot, Hillside cemetery. Parents: John W. Ogden and Susan Trusdell.

Funeral Sunday from the residence of his mother, Mrs. John Ogden, 6 Monhagen avenue, at 2:30 o'clock. Interment in family plot in Hillside cemetery.

The death of Mr. Charles Edward Ogden, which has been expected by his friends for some time past, occurred last night just at midnight.
Mr. Ogden had been a sufferer with that dreaded disease, consumption, for a year or more past. Not until a few months ago, however, was he compelled to relinquish his duties in Mr. William A. Vail's paper box factory, on Mill street, where he had been for eight years, and remain at home, closely confined, for the most or latter part of his life, to his bed. His age was 36 years.
He was a son of the late John S. Ogden and Asneath Ogden, with whom he always lived. He was born in Branchville, Sussex Co., N. J. Besides his mother he is survived by two brothers, John W. and Sylvanus G. Ogden, and one sister, Mrs. Angus Terwilliger, all of Middletown.
The deceased possessed a kind heart, and his genial disposition toward his large circle of acquaintances made him popular. In politics he was always a strong Republican.

Charles G. Ogden, a harness maker here for many years, died yesterday after a long illness.
A life resident of Middletown, Mr. Ogden was sixty-eight. He was born June twelfth, 1874, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Ogden.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Fancher of Warwick; and a sister, Miss Louise Ogden of Middletown.

The wedding of Mabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Wallace, of Wallkill, and Charles G. Ogden, of Middletown, occurred at noon, Thursday, at the home of the bride's parents in the presence of about sixty-five relatives and friends. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Atchison, of Pine Bush. George Beyea, of Howells, was best man and the bridesmaid was Miss Bertha Wallace, a sister of the bride. After their return from a wedding tour, which includes Washington and Old Point Comfort, Mr. and Mrs. Ogden will reside in Middletown, where Mr. Ogden is engaged in business, being a member of the firm of J. T. Ogden & Son. Parents: John Thomas Ogden and Mary Emma Gillen.
