Mary A., wife of Frank E. Clark, died at her home, 84 Prospect avenue, Thursday evening at 7 o'clock after a brief illness. She was born at Stony Point, N. Y. Feb. 14, 1874, the daughter of Martin V. B. Brooks and Henrietta Benson Brooks. On Mar. 8, 1908, she married Frank E. Clark in this city. Rev. Thomas Livingston, then pastor of the North Street Congregational Church, performing the ceremony.
The husband and one daughter, Ethel, wife of Max Beratz, of Newark, N. J., survive; also the following brothers and sisters: William Brooks, of Hillburn; Adelbert Brooks, of Hammond, Ind.; Byron Brooks of Stony Point; Sarah, wife of Sherman Burres, Stony Point; Daisy, wife of William Babcock, of Garnersville, N. Y.; Winnie, wife of William White of Dover, N. J., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the late home, 84 Prospect avenue, Monday at 12 o'clock. Rev. B. M. Dennison officiating. Interment in the family plot Laurel Grove Cemetery, Paterson, N. J.

Jacob was promoted to Cpl. 7-8-62 and to Sgt. 4-15-64. He was mustered in at Harper's Ferry 5-19-61 and placed on the Roll of Honor for conduct at Payne's Farm 11-12-64. Jacob Brown was captured in Spotsylvania 5-12-64 and released from Ft. Delaware Prison 6-15-65. Parents: James Brown Jr. and Nancy S. Boyd.

Mrs. Mary Agnes White died early Thursday morning at her home on Straith street, after an illness of one day.
She was born July 27, 1854, near Lyndhurst, a daughter of James and Mary Carpenter Brown, and spent practically all of her life in Augusta county. Five years ago she moved to Staunton.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, J.W. White; four sons, J.W., Jr., Princeton, W. Va.; A.S., Whitehorn, Va.; B.B. and E.D., Staunton; two daughters, Mrs. Clara L. Brown, Princeton, W. Va.; Mrs. Ella V. Clemmer, Middletown, N.Y.; a brother, I.S. Brown, Abilene Tex.; forty-one grandchildren, and twenty-four great grandchildren.
When a girl she joined Bethlehem Lutheran church, near Stuarts Draft.
The funeral will be held from the home of Hamrick & Co. at eleven o'clock this morning, conducted by the Rev. Dr. C.M. Teufel, of Christ Lutheran church.
