Olof Kerstin (Christine) and children Anna, Andrew, Karen and Mary arrived from Mora Sweden in 1910 by boat to Halifax, N.S., travelling by train to Moose Jaw where Andrew Lindell met them and took them to Brownlee, Sask. The family spent some time on the Olof Lisell farm south of Gilroy. Mrs. Olof Valin and Mrs. Olof Lisell were sisters. Mr. Lisell's father supervised the building of a long low house on Valin's homestead. He purchased the pre-emption south.
