We call this site "North Campus" because we are the northernmost members of our family conducting family history research. Family members at the "South Campus" are researching WALDEN, HANNA, BROWN and SINGLETARY.

We here at the North Campus are researching primarily CAMPBELL, MARCHETTI, DUPREE, and FISHER.

Daniel Campbell and Effie McLean came to America from the Isle of Skye in the 1700's. They settled in the Carolinas and then moved to N. Florida.

Gaetano Marchetti came to America from Genoa, Italy as a young boy in the late 1800's. He married Catherine Boghich, settled in N. Florida and raised a family there.

Our DuPree ancestors came to N. Carolina in the 1700's from France by way of England. Our branch comes from William, who was living in Wake Co, NC in 1850. More recently, in the early 1900's, our DuPree family moved to N. Florida.

We've just begun research on our Fisher family. They are currently settled in Florida but came from New York prior to living in Florida.

We are researching these families and all those connected including McCaskill, Donaway, Wheeler, Boghich, Womble, Shaw, Bell, Boothe, Hollomon and others we will find in our research.

We would like to share information if you are researching these same family lines.
