 Includes NotesNotes for Ruth Ingram:
Ruth was a sweet and cheerful lady and put her heart into raising her family. She enjoyed traveling to Mansfield and Columbus, Ohio to visit her brother, sisters and their families. The distance was far between the families but ties were kept close. Armed with her love for God and her family she kept an optimistic outlook on life despite being plagued with heart disease. In 1963 she suffered an almost fatal heart attack which damaged her strength for the rest of her life.

For many years she was the Orestes Baptist Church pianist and later the organist accompanying the choir and congregational singing. She was active in the ladies groups of the church and worked several canning seasons at the Orestes Canning Company and the Brunson Canning Company. She also served as the community Avon Lady for several years. Some of her best times were playing the organ while the grandchildren sat or stood nearby singing the songs she played. Besides her love for music she loved playing board and card games with family, neighbors and friends.
